Privacy Policy
This policy explains how data is handled when you visit shadow-config.com. This site is the Shadowrocket website and official manual, providing static pages for app authenticity checks, setup guides, and reference information. You can browse the site without creating an account or providing an email address.
1. Scope and Data Boundaries
This policy applies to browsing and interacting with pages on this site. It does not replace the privacy information for the Shadowrocket app or cover data Apple processes, such as account, payment, and purchase records. Browsing this website, using the app, and making a purchase through the App Store are separate data-processing activities.
This site does not offer account registration, email subscriptions, or configuration uploads, and does not ask you to submit passwords, subscription URLs, server credentials, or connection logs. The guides assume you already have your own subscription or server information. Do not include this information in a site URL or pass it as a query parameter.
This site does not provide, sell, or recommend servers or subscriptions. A one-time purchase of the app is not a service plan; buying the app does not include connection services.
2. Access Data and Analytics
When your browser requests a page, it sends information needed to deliver the site, including your IP address, the requested path, the request time, and browser-related headers. Whether referral information is sent depends on your browser settings and the referring page's policy. A static site can still generate technical access records.
This site uses analytics to understand page readership, device types, and navigation usage, helping us improve content structure, identify unusual access, and make pages easier to read on narrow screens. On the download information page, a store-link click is recorded when you choose to click the App Store button. This event does not indicate a successful purchase and contains no payment details.
Analytics are used only to operate and improve the site, not to read in-app configurations or analyze proxy traffic. Do not include personal information in links you visit. Browser extensions, privacy settings, and network conditions may affect whether analytics are recorded.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
You can access the site content directly by page URL; login cookies are not required. Interactions such as expanding navigation, opening the language menu, and jumping to a section run mainly on the current page. They do not require your subscription or server information to be stored in your browser.
Depending on the active deployment settings, analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers to distinguish visits and reduce duplicate counts. Whether these are stored, and for how long, depends on the analytics configuration in use and your browser. This policy does not describe all analytics data as anonymous.
You can view, restrict, or clear this site's cookies and local storage in your browser's site data settings, and you can also restrict analytics scripts. Clearing data may reset saved preferences or session identifiers, but generally does not prevent you from reading static page content directly. Browser cache and website local storage are separate mechanisms.
4. External App Store Links
The only place to get Shadowrocket is the App Store product page, operated by Apple. After you click the link, your browser or system may open the store page and send the destination service the connection information required by your browser's rules.
Apple handles Apple Account sign-in, payments, purchase records, and related storage under its own terms and privacy policies. This site does not receive your payment password, card details, or App Store order information. Purchase eligibility and system requirements are as stated on the App Store page.
5. Policy Updates and Questions
If site features, analytics methods, or the scope of data processing change, this page will be updated and the month shown at the top will be revised. If a change introduces a feature for submitting information, that feature will explain its purpose and scope separately. Continuing to browse this site does not constitute blanket consent to any new data processing.
This site does not send policy updates by email. Refer to this page for the current policy. For questions about purchasing, first launch, or setup, see the FAQ or tutorial. These pages provide information; they are not forms for submitting personal details, credentials, or logs.
